Characteristic difference of gas-fired coal-fired hot water boiler

Because the physical and chemical properties of coal and natural gas are different, there are large differences in characteristics between gas-fired boilers and coal-fired boilers.

  1. Combustion method

The coal-fired boiler adopts the layer-fired combustion method. The coal-fired coal is transported on the plane of the chain grate of the coal conveyor to complete the combustion process in the furnace. The gas-fired boiler is combusted by room combustion. The natural gas is mixed with the air in the burner in advance according to the set ratio, and then injected into the furnace through the nozzle, and burned in a torch in the furnace.

  2. Combustion products

Coal is mainly composed of elements such as c, H, s, 0, N and ash and moisture, but it is not a mechanical mixture of these components, but a very complex compound. The coal emits heat after burning, and generates SOSO NOx, which is discharged into the atmosphere from the flue gas, polluting the environment and causing harm to humans

The main component of natural gas is methane (CH.) Gas, and contains a small amount of non-hydrocarbon gas, generally does not contain moisture and ash. After natural gas is burned, it mainly produces co 2 and water, releasing a lot of heat, harmful SO 2, SO 3 Nox and other emissions are much less than coal.

  3. Ventilation method

Coal-fired boilers generally use negative pressure combustion. The combustion process is jointly completed by the cooperation of blowers and induced draft fans. During the combustion process of coal, a large amount of air is required, and due to the air leakage from the furnace wall and flue, excessive air coefficient Up to 2.1 to 2.5.

The gas-fired boiler adopts micro-positive pressure without the air leakage factor of the furnace wall and the flue. The excess air coefficient of the flue outlet during operation can be 1.05-1.2.
